BLACKENED TOFU

|
Drain and wrap in towel to get out excess moisture: | ||
| 1 # tofu | |||
| Take any blackened meat or fish seasoning and mix with olive oil to make a paste or use the Chinese 5 Star paste (below). | |||
| Slice tofu and spread the above onto slices and place in baking dish. May cut into cubes | |||
| Either marinate overnight or at least 1 hour in refrigerator | |||
| Bake at 375 approx 30 minutes. | |||
| OR for a chewier, firmer version bake at 250 for 2 hours | |||
| Chinese 5 Star paste: | |||
| 1 Chinese 5 spice | |||
| 3 T olive oil | |||
| 1/2 t salt | |||
| 1/16 t stevia | |||
