CASHEW GRAVY

Nice with Swedish Meatballs
You may change the flavor by adding one of the following:
1-2 T Bragg's Liquid Amino or Shoyu in place of salt
1/4 t nutmeg
1 t poultry seasoning
Blend till creamy:
1 3/4 cups water
1/2 cup cashews
2 tsp. onion powder
2 Tbs. oil
1/2 tsp. salt
Ground pepper to taste, optional
Pour into saucepan and simmer till desired thickness (approximately 15 - 20 minutes, stirring often).
Try adding Bragg's Liguid Amino in place of salt OR add some poultry seasoning.
This will thicken as it cools and may be used for a variety of dishes such as creamed veggies over waffles or as a thickener to soups.
