CASHEW GRAVY

1-2 T Bragg's Liquid Amino or Shoyu in place of salt
1/4 t nutmeg
1 t poultry seasoning

Blend till creamy: | ||
1 3/4 cups water | |||
1/2 cup cashews | |||
2 tsp. onion powder | |||
2 Tbs. oil | |||
1/2 tsp. salt | |||
Ground pepper to taste, optional | |||
Pour into saucepan and simmer till desired thickness (approximately 15 - 20 minutes, stirring often). | |||
Try adding Bragg's Liguid Amino in place of salt OR add some poultry seasoning. | |||
This will thicken as it cools and may be used for a variety of dishes such as creamed veggies over waffles or as a thickener to soups. |
