1 pound of ground turkey (white or dark, I usually use white) | ||
| 1 scallion/green onions, chopped fine | |||
| 2 large cloves garlic, minced (can be the kind that is already ground up in jar, or fresh) | |||
| 1 T fresh ginger (or the kind ground up in a jar) | |||
| 1 T sesame oil | |||
| 1/2 small green cabbage or 1/2 nappa cabbage | |||
| 1/2 of a jalepeno pepper (optional), minced | |||
| salt and black pepper | |||
| Shred the cabbage (I cut it by hand into slivers, but can also use a food processor/shredder if you have one) and add to ground turkey in big bowl | |||
| Add 1-2 cloves of garlic, some shredded ginger, salt and black pepper , and chopped scallions (chop jalepeno into very small pieces and add if using it), add sesame oil to the mix | |||
| Mix everything up with hand in bowl and form into patties | |||
| Add sesame oil to cast-iron pan for cooking burgers and let it heat up on low-medium flame. Once heated, add burgers. | |||
| Cook them with a lid on initially until both sides are pretty well cooked, then take lid off to brown them more OR grill about 10 minutes each side. | |||
